With a background in the financial industry, Scot Hymas spent around 30 years trying to perfect a group legal plan estate planning service. At its peak Scot’s company, of which he was the plan administrator and CEO, sold over 16,000 trust plans a year. The company is still in operation mainly servicing existing client plans; however Scot has shifted his focus to developing a powerful maintenance solution for professionals to assist clients with their estate planning needs. His new venture Estate Planning Guru will be launched late in 2014 and promises to be a powerful referral partner to Inter Vivos for advanced planning solutions not handled by the platform. It will also offer another outlet for marketing estate plans on a massive scale to benefits providers and employer groups.
